Prolozone Therapy

Prolozone, commonly known as "ozone" is a form of non-surgical ligament reconstruction and is a permanent treatment for chronic pain. Prolozone is a connective tissue injection therapy of collagen-producing substances and ozone gas, which can reconstruct damaged or weakened connective tissue in and around joints. Prolozone/ozone delivers active oxygen (a mixture of oxygen and ozone – O3) directly into the problem area.

This, minimally invasive, treatment delivers regenerative and anti-inflammatory power of medial ozone directly into the inflamed tissue. Ozone injections increase circulation and encourage a synthesis of collagen and cartilage. Ozone addresses the key issues in almost all disease conditions: oxygen delivery, circulation, and immune system function.  Ozone can provide pain relief and start regenerating the tissue, even for patients with severe damage to their joints, by activating your own Stem Cells, which has a power to repair and rebuild your damaged cells. Ozone can be delivered topically for open wounds, ear infections and sore throats.

By repairing the connective tissue this is all that’s needed to permanently resolve chronic pain.

Ozone is a highly reactive molecule, and when injected into a joint capsule it has the ability to stimulate the fibroblastic (or regenerative) joint repairing abilities. This occurs when ozone is metabolized into different peroxides, which stimulates and enhances the growth factors in the surrounding areas for tissue regeneration and stabilization.

Prolozone is derived from the  “ozone” and the Latin word “proli“, which means to regenerate or rebuild. It literally means rebuilding tissues with ozone. “Prolo” is short for proliferation because the treatment causes the proliferation (growth, formation) of new ligament tissue in areas where it has become weak.

Prolozone is a nonsurgical, injection-based treatment, which in many cases permanently resolves chronic pain patterns and can regenerate damaged tissues.

Prolozone will work on just about all areas of pain to include but not limited to:

  • Neck pain & whiplash

  • Low back pain

  • Plantar fasciitis & Achilles tendinitis

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Chronic tendon injuries

  • Tennis & golfer's elbow

  • Rotator cuff tendinitis

  • Ligament injuries

  • Osteoarthritis of the joints (the "wear & tear" kind)

  • And virtually any other sports injury
